WILTON — A local man was accused of putting a gun to the head of a 14-year-old boy in a threatening manner, police Chief Heidi Wilcox said Thursday.
The incident happened in the woods near Kineowatha Park, she said.
Joseph Daoust, 27, of Wilton was arrested Wednesday on a felony charge of terrorizing with a firearm, she said. He was also issued a summons on a felony charge of aggravated furnishing of a schedule Z drug, marijuana, she said.
Police received a complaint and began an investigation, which remains open, she said.
Daoust also smoked marijuana with two 14-year-old boys and gave them some of the drug, she said.
Wilton police were assisted by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, she said.
Daoust is being held on $5,000 cash bail at the Franklin County Jail in Farmington.
