1954 – 2014

AUBURN — Robert “Bob” P. Landry, 59, of Auburn died unexpectedly on Friday, May 9, in his home.

Robert was born on Oct. 20, 1954, in Lewiston, the son of Roger and Madeleine (Moreau) Landry. He grew up in Lewiston and attended local schools. He also attended CMTVI in Auburn, where he studied Industrial, Commercial and Residential Electricity. He worked at Bath Iron Works as a Marine Electrician for 15 years (1980 to 1985 and 1989 to 1999). He was a member of the BIW Water Rescue Team and volunteer fire department. He also worked as a property manager for several companies throughout Maine. He was a skilled carpenter, a handyman and a jack-of-all-trades.

He liked to spend his time sailing and going for a ride. He loved to listen to the sounds of the ocean, and he found comfort and happiness in the sea.

He leaves behind two daughters, Elizabeth Elliott and her husband, Chris, of Winterport, and Jennifer Lubliner and her husband, Chuckie, of Ronkonkoma, N.Y.; two granddaughters, Addison and Mackenzie Elliott; his brother, Ron Landry, and wife, Patty, of Turner; and two nieces.

He is predeceased in death by his parents, Roger and Madeleine Landry.
