LEWISTON — The Longley-Dionne VFW Post 9150 will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, May 19, at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave.
All officers and members are encouraged to attend.
Lisbon public walking tour
LISBON — As part of the Lisbon Downtown Plan Update, a public walking tour to explore the downtown area is scheduled for Thursday, May 22, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. downstairs at the Lisbon Public Library. Rain date is Wednesday, May 28.
The tour will begin at the library and continue down Main Street to Route 196, visiting businesses along the way and informally discussing topics such as business attraction/retention, sidewalks/crosswalks, signage, beautification, riverfront access management improvements, trails, parking, redevelopment, arts/culture and the Lisbon Village area.
The walking tour is open to businesses and residents to explore the downtown area as we begin the process of updating Lisbon’s Downtown Plan in preparation for Council adoption.

Cottrell spring fling, ice cream social
MONMOUTH — The Henry L. Cottrell School will hold a spring fling and ice cream social from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 22.
Flowers and vegetables the students have planted will be for sale.
Children’s artwork will be on display.
There will be a Scholastic “buy one, get one free” book fair.
Turkey supper at Lisbon Odd Fellows
LISBON — A turkey supper will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 23, at the Odd Fellows Hall, 27 Village St.
Cost is $7 for adults, $3.50 for ages 12 and under, and free for preschoolers.
The supper is hosted by Nina Rebekah Lodge No. 86 and Sabattus River Lodge No. 21.
