BANGOR (AP) — The defense is beginning its case in the trial of two men prosecutors say killed three people and burning their bodies after a Bangor drug dispute.

One of the defendants, Nicholas Sexton of Warwick, Rhode Island, is expected to be called to the stand to testify in his own defense Monday. After his case is done, defense attorneys for Randall Daluz of Brockton, Massachusetts, will begin presenting his case to the jury.

Sexton and Daluz are on trial for the 2012 killings of three people whose bodies were found in a burning car. They have pleaded not guilty.

Each man is each charged with three counts of murder. The victims are 24-year-old Nicolle Lugdon of Eddington, 26-year-old Daniel Borders of Hermon, and 28-year-old Lucas Tuscano of Bradford.
