Local police were searching Tuesday night for Earl Lowe, the father of Kristina Lowe, who is on trial in Oxford County Superior Court for vehicular manslaughter.
Sheriff Wayne Gallant said a bench warrant had been issued for Lowe for contempt of court for not showing up at the proceedings to testify. Gallant said Oxford, Paris and Norway police departments, the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office and Maine State Police were searching for Lowe.
Gallant said Lowe was not at his last known address in Paris. If found, Gallant said Lowe would be arrested and held in the Oxford County Jail until court convenes Wednesday morning.
