File this under “At least we’re not Texas. Or Georgia.”

The real estate blog Estately ran what it called “hundreds of search queries through Google Trends to determine which words, terms, and questions each state was searching for more than any other.”

And we Mainers seem strangely enamored with Michael Flatley’s “Lord of the Dance.” That ranked up there with our No. 1 Google search choice, “cat pics” — surprise, surprise — and a couple of cannabis-related search terms: “How to roll a joint,” and “growing marijuana.”

The cat pics I get, because, well, they’re cat pics. The marijuana stuff, coming in the aftermath of Portland voters passing an ordinance legalizing recreational pot use, doesn’t shock me either.

But “Lord of the Dance”? What are you people doing? Do I want to know?

Better we be Googling Michael Flatley than, say, “Butt Implants” or “Do I Have Herpes?,” I guess.

Some interesting notes that can be found on Estately’s list of top Google searches from each state:

• A strangely high number of Californians want to know what Siri — yes, the disembodied voice of Apple iPhones — looks like.
• Florida web users have to ask the question: “What is sarcasm?”
• Folks in Illinois do a lot of searching for racist jokes.
• Georgia Google searchers are infatuated with their rear ends — in addition to the aforementioned “butt implants” search entry, they’re spending a lot of time looking up “Spanx.”
• Many web users in Kentucky and Alabama are looking for evidence that our current president is the antichrist.
• People in Rhode Island are infatuated with Andre the Giant the way we Mainers apparently are infatuated with Michael Flatley.
• And Texas. Very inquisitive. Among their top search terms are: “Can dogs talk?,” “Are dinosaurs real?,” “Does beer make you fat?” and the aforementioned herpes query, among other questions.
