NORTH WATERBORO — The Maine medical examiner’s office has ruled the death of a teenager whose body was found in Lake Arrowhead to be an accidental drowning.

The examiner says 15-year-old Jaden Dremsa drowned after hitting his head.

The Waterboro teen, whose body was found over the weekend, disappeared May 8 after leaving home for a walk in the nearby woods. Rescuers began searching for Dremsa after he was reported missing, going so far as to lower the lake’s level.

His body was found on Saturday.

Dremsa was a freshman at Massabesic High School, where school started this week with a moment of silence. A memorial service is expected later this month.
