BUCKFIELD — The John D. Long American Legion Post 58 is organizing a Memorial Day parade Monday.
It will begin at 9 a.m. at the Town Office on Route 117 and proceed to the town square for a ceremony at the monuments and to place flowers in the Nezinscot River in memory of veterans lost at sea.
A bus will transport participants to the Damon Cemetery in North Buckfield, where there will be a ceremony and a firing squad salute.
