JAY — A memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Philip F. “Choo” Boivin, 77, of Jay, was celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, at St. Rose of Lima in Jay, with the Rev. Thomas Lequin as celebrant.

Hymns sung by the Resurrection Choir for Mass were “Softly and Tenderly,” “Morning Has Broken,” “This Alone,” “Only This I Want,” “Like A Shepherd,” “Song of Farewell” and “Lord Now Let Thy Servant Go In Peace.” His son, Stephen Boivin, and daughter-in-law, Pauline Boivin, brought the gifts forward for communion and Pauline also helped serve communion.

Interment followed at Holy Cross Cemetery in Livermore Falls. The family hosted a time of fellowship and refreshment at Phil’s home after the interment. Arrangements were in the care of Wiles Remembrance Center, 136 High St., Wilton.
