Scholarship applications open

ELLSWORTH — Applications are being accepted for the Maine Community Foundation’s Patriot Education Scholarship Fund.

The renewable scholarship is designed to support graduates of a Maine high school who are enrolled full-time in pursuit of a business degree and who will be entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year. Preference is given to applicants who have a demonstrated interest in personal and commercial insurance professions.

Deadline for applications is Sunday, June 1. Applications are available at www.mainecf.org.

KVCC open house scheduled June 3

FAIRFIELD — Kennebec Valley Community College will hold an open house for programs in health, business, sustainable agriculture, education and culinary arts from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, in the Campus Center of King Hall. It is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Programs represented at the open house will include sustainable agriculture, culinary arts, health information technology, respiratory therapy, medical assisting, business administration, occupational therapy assistant, education and mental health.

The open house will include tours, financial aid guidance and presentations.
