FARMINGTON — Garden Angel volunteers and members of the 4-H group, Happy H’s, met on May 21 at the home of 4-H leader Michelle Winslow to build garden containers.

Earlier in the day, volunteer Tony Gill delivered the wood to volunteer Bob Gramlich, who cut it and delivered it to Winslow’s house for the 4-H members, Janna Winslow, Jared Winslow and John Curtis Winslow. They constructed eight more boxes for the Garden Angel Project, now totaling 24.

Volunteers Steve Scharoun and Dan Palmer arrived to help, and the boxes were completed and drainage holes installed. Volunteer Linda Myhaver arrived a little later and took photos.

The goal this year was to expand from 16 to 24 boxes, and the boxes are already been assigned. Volunteers Harvey Hayden, Sue Gill, and Bob Gramlich will deliver the boxes and soil between May 28 and 30. Linda MyHaver is hoping to deliver plants and seeds early in June.
