Cemetery committee to meet

TURNER — The North Turner Cemetery Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at the home of Beverly Murphy, 255 Berry Road, Hartford. All are welcome to attend to discuss upkeep of the cemetery.

Marine Corps detachment to meet

LEWISTON — The Marine Corps League, Central Maine Detachment, will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at the Holy Cross Senior Hall, 16 St. Croix St., left side door.

Asthma inhalers health topic

LEWISTON — “Making Sense of Asthma Inhalers” is the subject of a Central Maine Medical Center Accenting Your Health presentation set for Monday, June 2.

A registered pharmacist and two registered respiratory therapists will discuss the types of inhalers used to manage asthma. Their presentation will focus on therapeutic medication inhalers and rescue inhalers and their proper use. They will also demonstrate how peak flow meters can help individuals better control their asthma.

The presenters will be registered pharmacist Kristin Maguire and registered respiratory therapists Jeffery Eckert and Tara Inman.

The program will be offered from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and again from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Chairmen’s Rooms, located on the lower lever of the 12 High Street Medical Office Building.

Four-part Yoga for Life program

TOPSHAM — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing will present a free four-part yoga program at Greater Brunswick Physical Therapy, 11 Bowdoin Island Mill, Suite 200.

The four-session Yoga for Life program will introduce participants to gentle yoga for all fitness levels. Appropriate for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers, it will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays, May 28, June 4, 11 and 18. Instructor is Tish Caldwell, certified yoga instructor.
