DEAR SUN SPOTS: You have helped me in the past, so maybe you can again. Last spring, just before I got back from my winter in Florida, my house was broken into. Had I known, I would have gladly given them what they stole.

One thing I would like to have back is the ox yoke I used to put up over my garage doors. The way to know it was mine is that I drilled two holes for the bolts that mounted it next to the yoke.

It dates back to the 1800s and the Sylvester homestead on Route 136 in Durham. My mother gave it to me years ago.

I would be glad to pay a reward to get it back. It means a lot to me. Thank you so much. — Ralph, Auburn, 207-784-6025

ANSWER: Sun Spots hopes the thief has a change of heart and returns it. Perhaps he won’t have any place to hang it and thus no use for it?

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am writing to tell you the letter in the May 26 column regarding the 1964 class reunion for Leavitt Institute has my email address wrong. It should be jackdiane04254@hotmail.com

Would it be possible to run it again? Terri Emerson Herrick submitted the article and she said she is pretty sure she sent it correctly, but obviously, it is not even close to correct. — Dianne Allanach Pelletier

ANSWER: Sun Spots is sorry, but she misinterpreted Terri’s handwritten letter, which had spaces between Jack Diane and 04254@hotmail.com, so Sun Spots figured Jack Diane was another person.

Many of the class reunion letters come handwritten. Sun Spots does try to type them correctly, but obviously she did not succeed this time!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Thanks for all you do! In response to the request for the lyrics to the song “Still” I remember three lines: “I love you still. Though you broke my heart, still. Though we’re far apart, still.” Not necessarily in that order. — No Name via email

ANSWER: Sun Spots, thanks to the Internet, provided the lyrics to the version of “Still” that No Name, Gray, sought. Readers must not have realized that the answer had been obtained (May 19), as they are still coming in. Many readers are sending the Anderson song by that name, but it was the Lionel Richie song No Name wanted and now has.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: In response to the request for bicycle repairs (May 19) Northern Lights on Route 2 in Farmington is a good source of bicycle knowledge and repair. — Stephen C. via email

ANSWER: Sun Spots was sure that Stephen must be mistaken, as Northern Lights is known for selling wood and pellet stoves. But he is right; they do service bikes and sell them as well.

Sun Spots spoke to Martha, who said they do bikes in the summer and skis in the winter. You can reach them at info@northernlightsmaine.com or 207-778-6566.
