AUBURN — Cam Cormier punched up four goals and earned an assist as Edward Little shook off Oak Hill (4-8) for a 7-2 victory in a boys’ lacrosse game Tuesday.

The Red Eddies (5-7) held a 4-1 advantage at halftime.

Calvin Bureau, Matt Merrill and Henry Nguyen all scored a goal for the Red Eddies. Oak Hill’s Kyle Flaherty scored both goals for the Raiders.

The win secures a playoff berth for the Red Eddies, who currently sit in sixth position in Eastern Class A.

Mt. Blue 6, Oxford Hills 5

FARMINGTON — Casey Taylor scored four goals as Mt. Blue slipped away with a 6-5 victory over Oxford Hills in a boys’ lacrosse game Tuesday.

Cougars goalie Leo Flannery made 17 saves. Sam Taylor and Liam Welch each scored a goal.

Mountain Valley 6, Lincoln Academy 3

RUMFORD — Dakota Jacques and Tucker Phelps each scored two goals as Mountain Valley dismissed Lincoln Academy (0-12) in a 6-3 win in a boys’ lacrosse game Tuesday.

The game was tied 2-2 at the half when the Falcons made a break for it, scoring four goals in the second half. Dalton Milledge and Chris Bourret each had a goal for Mountain Valley (3-9).

For Lincoln, Greg Anderson scored a pair of goals and Keegan Duncan added one.

Oxford Hills 13, Brunswick 0

PARIS — Myriah Lausier tripled and drove in three runs and winning pitcher Crystal West had three hits as Oxford Hills walked all over Brunswick in a 13-0 victory Tuesday.

The Vikings (12-4) held a 12-0 lead in the five-inning game that was shortened by the 10-run mercy rule.

Anna Winslow tripled during the Vikings’ 11-hit attack.

Falmouth 6, Poland 1

POLAND — Maddie Rouhanna, Elizabeth Valker and Julie Treadwell combined for eight hits and six RBIs, leading Falmouth to a 6-1 victory over Poland in a softball game Tuesday.

The Yachtsmen erupted with three runs in the third inning and added three more in the sixth. A two-run double by Treadwell and an RBI single by Valker gave Falmouth the edge in the third inning.

The Knights (8-8) scored their lone run on an RBI single by Madison Simard. Lindsay Theriault had a double for Poland.

Girls’ lacrosse

Messalonskee 18, Oxford Hills 9

PARIS — Sydney Gagne scored seven goals and Ally Fischang had three as Messalonskee took apart Oxford Hills in an 18-9 victory in girls’ lacrosse action Tuesday.

The Eagles held a 12-6 lead at the half. India Laguet scored two goals and had four assists for Messalonskee.

For the Vikings (2-9), Tayla Smedberg, Ally Hanley and Katie Bowie each scored two goals.

Baseball

Oxford Hills 11, Brunswick 1

PARIS — Matt Smith had four hits, including a two-run double in the sixth that ended the game on a 10-run mercy rule, directing Oxford Hills (11-5) to an 11-1 over Brunswick (8-8) in a baseball game Tuesday.

The Vikings used a 17-hit attack and made no errors. Dalton Rice got the win on the mound after five innings of pitching. He also drove in two runs.

Nick Bowie had three hits and also drove in two runs for Oxford Hills.
