DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Mechanic Falls Public Library Trustees are holding their annual book sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 7. It will be held in the Municipal Gym at the Town Office in Mechanic Falls.

We are asking for donations. If anyone is cleaning out their bookshelves and would like to donate, we would be more than happy to take them. Unfortunately, we cannot take textbooks, Reader’s Digest condensed books or encyclopedias.

The money raised from this sale goes to help the summer reading program for the children of Mechanic Falls.

The Sun Spots’ community was a huge help to us with donations and customers last year, and we are hoping that after the long cold winter of reading, there are a lot of books out there that will need new homes.

For more information, please call the library at 207-345-9450. Thank you. — Nancy Petersons, nepesons@myfairpoint.net

ANSWER: Nancy sent this letter at the end of April, but Sun Spots managed to overlook it. She apologizes and hopes it’s not too late for readers to share their extra books.

The next letter is also a last-minute event, but fortunately the delay is not Sun Spots’ doing.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: For anyone interested in a table or two to sell their yard sale or other sale items, there is still time to rent them ($12 each or two for $20) at the Sacred Heart Church yard sale scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 7 (rain date June 14).

You may purchase space through Friday, June 6, by calling Bonnie at 783-9608 or Aleta at 966-3699.

Or if anyone is interested in donating items to the sale, they can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday or from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the white convent building behind the church at 36 Sacred Heart Place.

Sorry, we are unable to take adult clothing or electronic items. — Rita Melendy, ritamelendy@yahoo.com

DEAR SUN SPOTS, While moving last year, I broke the glass on a framed print. I’ve been looking around for someone to replace the glass (while keeping the original frame), but haven’t noticed any shops doing these sorts of repair jobs.

If there are no suggestions already in the Rolodex, surely one of your readers knows where to go. — Drew via email

ANSWER: Sun Spots gets her replacement glass at her local hardware store — quite inexpensively, too. Perhaps readers will have additional suggestions.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: For the person looking for Tupperware (May 27), I am a dealer in Lewiston-Auburn. I used to be in your Rolodex; I don’t know why you’ve removed me. Thank you. — Elizabeth Feeley, rhumbatrudy@yahoo.com, 782-7540

ANSWER: Sun Spots’ Rolodex seems to have malfunctioned in the Tupperware section. She will remedy that situation.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I read your section every day and saw a letter from a lady who is looking for some Tupperware lids. I have emailed her directly, but you could put me in your Rolodex for Tupperware consultant.

My website is http://my2.tupperware.com/tup-html/S/shanagains-welcome.html, and a phone message can be left at 207-539-6048.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I sell Tupperware here in Maine, and would love to be added to your Rolodex for any future needs. I am in Kennebec County, but I travel wherever there is a need (or a want ) for Tupperware.

Please feel free to contact me anytime at 701 7293. — Tammy M. Brooks, lawgalsearchingfor@yahoo.com
