DEAR SUN SPOTS: We are looking for volunteers for the newly created Emerge Film Festival. There are lots of opportunities to help make this a great experience for our film-watching guests.

The event begins Friday, June 13, with a beer and horror night complete with a reception at Baxter Brewing Co. and movies at the Franco Center.

Saturday, June 14, brings an array of films showing at five venues in Lewiston-Auburn during the day. Saturday evening is the first-cut showing of Richard3 at the Franco Center.

Volunteers will receive a free general pass to Friday evening movies and Saturday daytime showings (does not include Richard3)

If interested, drop me a line or call 207-998-2472. — Dan Marois, dmarois@fairpoint.net

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Would the person who requested school coupons (Box Tops for Education), please send the correct address? I sent them to Brookfield Estates, Turner, ME 04282, and the post office returned them.

Also, when we see these large crowds at events, nothing is ever given as to the parking lots, which must overflow.

Thank you for what you do. — June, Canton

ANSWER: You missed the house number when you addressed the envelope. Laurie Labbe, who collects the box tops for Turner schools, is at 5 Brookfield Estates.

Sun Spots is sorry, but she doesn’t understand your second question. What events? Are you having trouble finding parking? Please write back and explain further. (She was able to read your handwriting, so that’s not the issue.)

DEAR SUN SPOTS: You are a genius. You help everyone. Merci.

Do you know the price of meal vouchers? Is there a way to order them via the U.S. Postal Service?

It is several miles to Livermore. I have heard that vouchers can be purchased there. — Jay Gal

ANSWER: Sun Spots is certainly no genius, as witnessed by today’s column, but she wishes she was a mind reader so she’d know how to help you.

She doesn’t know what you mean by meal vouchers. Are these for stores or restaurants? Or do you mean you want to apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (used to be called food stamps) for use at the grocery store?

Again, please write back and explain further so Sun Spots can help you.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Some time ago, someone wrote requesting religious “spiritual bouquet” cards, but we did not get the contact information. Would you please reprint it? Many thanks. — Connie Paquette, ncpaquette@aol.com

ANSWER: Sun Spots is sorry, but she doesn’t recall that request. She searched her archives for 2012, 2013 and 2014 for those key words and turned up nada. Maybe they used different terms? Hopefully that reader will see your letter.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Thank you very much for the write-up about my stolen ox yoke. One correction: The bolt holes were to attach the yoke to the garage. Thank you. — Ralph Sylvester, Auburn

ANSWER: Sun Spots clearly had a brain cramp; she typed Ralph’s letter so it read that “the bolt holes were to attach the yoke to the yoke,” which makes no sense. She regrets the error and hopes that it doesn’t keep the thief from returning the yoke.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: In answer to No Name, Chesterville, they sell Skechers at Super Shoes in the Auburn Mall. — Hazel, Greenwood

DEAR SUN SPOTS: For the person looking for Skechers (May 27), Super Shoes in the Auburn Mall and Kohl’s both sell a variety of Skechers. — No Name, Lewiston
