Coed adult pick-up softball

The Harrison Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a co-ed adult pick-up softball league thursday evenings at crystal lake park from 7 to 9 p.m, beginning june 19. This is a recreational activity geared toward those who wish to play for fun, socialize, and get some exercise. If you are looking for something more competitive, then we encourage you to join a softball league. Bring your glove and a bat if you have one. Assorted bats and gloves will be provided. Nordi ski programming

Black Mountain Ski Resort is pleased to offer summer Nordic ski programming for children ages 10 to18. There will be two groups; Development: ages 10-13 and Juniors: ages 13 to 18. This is a nine-week program that is designed to improve the skills of young skiers in a fun environment. There will be two skill-and-game sessions and one adventure day each week. From June 17 to Aug. 16 the schedule is as follows:

Development group: Wednesday and Friday 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Black Mountain Ski Resort; Junior group: Tuesday and Thursday 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Black Mountain Ski Resort; Both groups: Saturday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Black Mountain Ski Resort. Challenger British Soccer Camp

The MSAD 52 Adult and Community Education presents Challenger British Soccer Camp.The camp returns to Greene, Leeds and Turner on July 21 to 25. It is based upon one of the most innovative approaches to coaching youth soccer in the United States and Canada. The curriculum includes a variety of foot skills, technical skills, tactical practices, freestyle soccer, small-sided games, coached scrimmages, and mini tournament play. Players learn about the core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership. Three sessions of Challenger British Soccer Camp are available, including Mini Soccer for ages 3 to 5, half day for ages 6 to 14, or full day for ages 7-14. Leavitt basketball camps
There will be a Girls’ Youth Basketball Camp for grades 2 through 8 from July 21 to 24 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Leavitt Area High School in Turner. Sign-ups are from July 21 and 23 at 7:30 a.m. Call coach Gerrish at 739-0218 or coach assistant girls’ basketball coach Rick White at 357-1313 for any questions. For more information, contact the adult education department at MASAD 52. The cost is $60. There will also be a Girls’ High School Summer Basketball for grades 9 through 12, starting June 17 through the end of July at Leavitt Area High School. Skills and drills will follow at 7 p.m. Sign-ups are June 17 and 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the high school. Cost is $60.
