Another Lewiston budget passed and it’s still “business as usual.” The taxpayers are forced to fund the spending for another out-of-control municipal budget. Taxpayer input is totally ignored.
The council refuses to look beyond the first floor of City Hall. It seems we have some empty chairs on the City Council.
The personnel cuts were done in the wrong department. Recreation Department Director Maggie Chisholm has put her heart in her job. She loves the kids, and they love her.
The council needs to look at the money pit at the bottom of Bartlett Hill. The second floor needs a serious tune-up.
We should have Auburn’s city manager do Lewiston’s next budget.
