1938 – 2014

Geraldine T. Fecteau, 76, of Auburn passed away peacefully at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice on Friday, June 6, after an unexpected, brief illness. She spent her last few days surrounded by all her family and friends.

She was born in Guerette on May 14, 1938, the daughter of Albany and Arlene Cyr Martin. Following the death of her father, she was raised by her mother and step-father, Gerry Bunham.

She was a beautiful women with a heart of gold. She enjoyed sitting on her porch watching the birds, her favorite being the hummingbirds. She took pride in her flowers and had a soft spot for any animal. She also adored all her eight children and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She would drop everything for all of them.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Gerard Fecteau of Auburn; six sons, Louis Fecteau and wife, Janey, of North Carolina, Reggie Fecteau and wife, Sue, of Buckfield, Richard Fecteau and wife, Debbie, of Auburn, Steve Fecteau of Auburn, Andrew Fecteau and wife, Sharon, of Salem, and Anthony Fecteau of Auburn; a daughter, Tina Webster and husband, Robert, of Leeds; a brother, Gordon Martin and wife, Jeanette, of Lewiston; eighteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Daniel Fecteau; a sister, Maryjane Haney; and five brothers, Clayton, Phillip, Richard, Sylvio and George Martin.
