FARMINGTON — By 25 votes, townspeople elected Michael J. Fogg on Tuesday to serve on the Board of Selectmen.
Fogg earned 323 votes over Matthew Smith, who garnered 298 votes, Town Clerk Leanne Pinkham reported after the polls closed.
The special election was held Tuesday to fill a seat on the board held by Andrew Hufnagel, who resigned in March.
Along with the selectman seat, residents also voted on the RSU 9 school budget.
Voting was steady with about 760 turning out to vote, Pinkham said.
