1953 – 2014
AUBURN — Gloria M. Caouette, 60, of Minot, died Tuesday, June 10, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice after a long illness.
She was born in Manhattan, N.Y., on July 12, 1953, a daughter of John and Willie Mae Tanner Milazzo. Gloria graduated from Edward Little High School in 1971 and continued her education at St. Mary’s School of Nursing, from which she graduated in 1975. She then attained a Bachelor of Science in business at St. Joseph’s College in North Windham. Gloria was married to Robert R. Caouette.
Her health care career included employment at Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, North Country Associates, Goodwill of Northern New England, Clover Manor, Elder Independents and SeniorsPlus.
Gloria’s love was cooking and she excelled as a cook and baker. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. She had a great sense of design and created a loving home for her family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert, her son, Christopher David Caouette, and her mother, all of Minot; her sister, Debra Milazzo-Shannon and husband, Rick, of Hartford; her brother, John C. Milazzo and partner, Sue Gagnon, of Auburn; and two godsons, Patrick and Shawn Milazzo-Shannon, both children of her sister, Debra.
She was predeceased by her father, John Milazzo, M.D., who died in 1986.
