BRUNSWICK — Jane Cyr Spencer died at The Garden, in Brunswick, on Monday, June 9.

She was born in Tolne, Denmark, on Sept. 7, 1919, to John and Katherine Andersen. When Jane was 7 years old, the family immigrated to Edmunston, New Brunswick.

In 1941, she married Edward P. Cyr. They were married in Portland by the groom’s brother, Monsignor Armand Cyr. They had five children: Margaret “Peggy” J. Bishop of Carrabassett, Michael E. Several years after her husband, Edward’s, death, she moved to Florida where she met and married Cmdr. Howard J. Spencer.

Jane was a very loving, gentle and generous person. She loved to dance and sing, and was a member of the choir in Madawaska and Florida for many years.
