RUMFORD — Funeral services, celebrating the life of Gary L. “Harvey” McGuire of Rumford were conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, at the Meader & Son Funeral Home with his sister, Pastor Judy McGuire, officiating. Music selections included “Wind Beneath My Wings” and “How Great Thou Art.” Special music prior to the service was provided by guitarist Denny Breau, who sang a medley of Gary’s favorite songs and also a special song during the service written by Denny, “One of these Days.” Words of remembrance were given by friend Eileen Whynot, sisters Gail Cyr Guile and Melanie Cyr Babb, and friend Denny Breau. Committal services were conducted by Pastor Judy McGuire. Interment was in the new section of the Woodlawn Cemetery, Andover. A reception followed at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club in Rumford.
