MANCHESTER, N.H. — It’s common for police to chase after bank robbers — less so for them to purse those who run off with drive-up ATM signs.

Police in Manchester, N.H., say they saw three men early Saturday near the Citizens Bank Building. They said one pulled off the drive-up ATM sign from the side of the building.

When the officers approached the men, they ran away, leaving the sign. Police ultimately caught up with the man accused of taking it off the wall. Twenty-two-year-old Andrew St. Jean of Lunenburg, Mass., was charged with theft and resisting detention.

Police also caught up with another man, 23-year-old Kyle Deegan of Concord, and charged him with resisting arrest.

It wasn’t known if the two had lawyers.
