1943 – 2014

LEWISTON — Yvette M. O’Leary, 70, of Auburn, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, at Central Maine Medical Center, with her family by her side.

She was born in Lewiston on Sept. 25, 1943, a daughter of Joseph and Cecilia (Beaudoin) Bernier. She grew up and attended schools in Auburn and later worked in local various shoe shops, Maine Electronics in Lisbon and for ACS in Lewiston.

Yvette was the widow of Joseph O’Leary, whom she married on March 3, 1962, and who died on March 6, 2007.

She enjoyed playing Tuck and cards, especially cribbage and scat.

Yvette is survived by her daughters, Lisa Woodcock and husband, Barry, of Lisbon and Nancy Poulin of Bow, N.H.; her son, Rick O’Leary and girlfriend, Ivy Ritchie, of Bowdoin; her grandchildren, Candace Pelletier, Katelyn and Joseph O’Leary, Alex and Keri Woodcock and David and Thomas Poulin; her great-grandchildren, McKenzie Pelletier and Apollo Lewis; her sisters, Iola Sparks and husband, John, of Lewiston, JoAnne Tiner of Greene and Rita Maxwell and husband, Richard, of Auburn; and by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents and her son, Paul O’Leary.
