Shiloh is a small chestnut Arabian horse owned by the author, as is his pasturemate and friend, Sani. This 120-page chapter book contains two stories written from Shiloh’s perspective.
In the first story he enters five very different classes in a horse show and tells how he copes with each style of tack and competition. In the second story he goes camping and trail riding up and down mountains and across rivers on a three-day pack trip with his buddy Sani and a group of four other riders and their horses.
The author began riding at the age of eight and has owned, raised and trained horses ever since. She worked as a horse wrangler and trail guide for at a ranch in Cody, Wyoming. She has ridden on five continents, accounting for her knowledge and experience with horses as detailed in her previous historical and contemporary western/cowgirl books as well as her seven children’s horse stories.
Her books can be purchased at www.prgottbooks.net, Amazon.com or BarnesandNoble.com, as e-books from Kindle and Nook, or locally at Book’s ‘N Things Norway, Smedberg’s Farm Stand in Oxford, and Melby’s Market in Waterford.
