Vendors sought for Old Home Days

PHILLIPS — American Legion Auxiliary Unit 64 is looking for interested vendors for their Old Home Days vendor fair on Aug. 15.

Proceeds from the fair will benefit various programs such as Girls State, scholarships and community and veterans’ needs.

WILTON — The Wilton Area Food Pantry will be open the fourth Saturday of each month, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., for Wilton residents who need to apply for food. Bring proof of residence. For more information, call 645-3526.

MSAD 52 summer classes

TURNER — MSAD 52 Adult Education has announced summer courses and camp offerings; many classes start July 7.

New camps include Punk Rope, Backcountry Basics, Mad Science Junior Engineering Camp and five-week Pottery Fun. Other new offerings include Beginner Colorguard and Sketchbook Explorers.

Returning popular camps are Children’s Theater, Challenger Soccer, Tumbling, Field Hockey, Soccer, Art and Yoga Adventure. Classes for the community include Welding 101, Couch to 5K, Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Brain Gym and Dog Obedience.

Strawberry shortcake on July 4

FARMINGTON — Homemade Strawberry Shortcake will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, July 4, on the Pierce House Lawn, 204 Main St.

It will feature fresh-picked strawberries, fresh-baked biscuits and whipped topping. Cost is $4 each. Proceeds benefit Old South First Congregational Church’s outreach and community service programs.

Clearwater Lake Boat Parade

INDUSTRY — The annual Clearwater Lake Boat Parade with take place at dusk on Friday, July 4. Any interested boaters are asked to meet at the breakwater area with their decorated/lighted boats for a tour around the lake. This is sponsored by the Clearwater Lake Association.

INDUSTRY — The Clearwater Lake Association will hold its Annual Meeting on Sunday, July 13, at the Industry Town Hall.

The potluck dinner will begin at noon and the meeting will follow. Bring a favorite dinner dish to share with the members. Water, soda, coffee and tea will be provided.

All members and interested people are invited to attend this meeting.

The Industry fireworks display will be on July 5, with a rain date of July 6, at Wing’s Field.
