DIXFIELD — The Dixfield alumni banquet will be held Saturday, June 28, at the Dixfield Middle School.

Doors open at 3:30 p.m. Supper will be at 5 p.m. followed by a meeting.

Last year, French, English and music teacher “Nab” Weston was honored. She has since celebrated her 100th birthday.

This year Hazel Kennedy, Frances Carlton, Frances’ daughter Eileen and Eileen’s daughter Joyce will be honored.

Sisters Hazel and Frances were instrumental in getting the alumni up and running years ago. Eileen and Joyce have donated many hours of service to make the banquet a success.

The main purpose of the alumni is to give scholarships to graduating seniors. Last year eight $1,000 scholarships were given out.

Anyone who ever attended the Dixfield school system is welcome. Dues are $10 per year.
