STONEHAM — The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War Hannah F. Richardson Tent No. 19 held their monthly meeting on May 28 at the Community Room in Stoneham.

A memorial service was held for all deceased members since the tent was organized.

Brenda Woods served as secretary pro-tem in the absence of secretary/treasurer Sylvia Grover.

Elaine Lagueux was presented a cake in honor of her May birthday.

There will be no meeting in June. The convention for the Department of Maine DUVCW will be held Saturday, June 28, at the Hampton Inn in Waterville.

The next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, tentatively at the same location.

Tent 19 attended the Stoneham church on May 18 when they conducted their memorial program. Following the service, they went to Hillside Cemetery where they conducted a memorial service at the grave of Civil War veteran Albion Stearns.

The newly decorated community room was very much appreciated.
