LIVERMORE FALLS — Police are asking motorists and bicyclists who are traveling the Campground Road to be aware that there is a new four-way stop at the intersection of Haines Corner, Bamford Hill and Campground roads.

Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said that some motorists are not stopping on Campground Road because they are unaware of the change. There was already a report of a near accident, he said Wednesday.

Police are keeping a close-eye on the situation and are putting extra patrol there to let drivers know of the change.

Selectmen agreed to makde the area a four-way stop after a resident voiced concerns over near accidents when it was a two-way stop and those traveling on Campground Road had the right of way.
