AUBURN — Officials are looking for a candidate to fill the seat vacated by former School Committee Chairwoman Tracey Levesque.
The Auburn City Clerk’s office will begin accepting nominations for the Ward 4 seat Monday, July 7. The Ward 4-only vote is scheduled for Nov. 4.
Would-be candidates need to collect at least 25 signatures from registered voters in Ward 4 to qualify.
Levesque resigned in May because she planned to move to a home outside of Ward 4. She was six months into her second term on the committee.
She is the second member to resign this year. Ward 1 member Mike Farrell resigned his seat in March to pursue “a couple of great opportunities for my family.” His seat will be filled in a special August election.
