MEXICO — Heavy rains flooded the Mountain Valley Middle School basement Wednesday but did no damage, Principal Ryan Casey said Thursday.
“We were lucky,” he said.
The Mexico Fire Department spent about two hours pumping out the water, Casey said.
Power was out about two hours, but the frozen food stored in the basement was OK, he said.
“When the power goes out, we have to watch,” he said.
