MEXICO — Summer is a great time to start back to school and finish a high school diploma or improve skills for college.

Region 9 Adult Education at 377 River Road will be open and air-conditioned this summer starting Tuesday, July 8.

Open lab will run from 8 a.m. to noon every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from July 8 to Aug. 14.

Come in and work on math, reading or writing skills and get a jump start on finishing high school credentials. Anyone planning to go to college this fall and needing to brush up on skills can also benefit. There is no fee for these services.

High school seniors who are at least 17 years of age may be eligible to do credit recovery to help graduate on time next year. Students must have permission from their sending school to participate.There may be a fee for this program.

New or retuning students with more than a three-month absence should attend one of the orientation dates. They are July 8, 9, 10, 23 or Aug. 6 starting at 8 a.m. Plan on staying until noon.
