Starting July 7

Dog Obedience: Master the basics, work on handling skills, and tackle more complicated commands while improving communication with your dog. Students under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs must have non-chain leashes, well-fitting collar and current rabies shots.

Tumbling Beginner to Advanced: These classes are for cheerleaders, acrobats, gymnasts and others ages 6-18 who wish to enhance, improve and refine their tumbling.

Backcountry Basics: New to hiking, paddling or bird watching in the woods? This two-day class is for you, if you’re ages 13 and up. Weather, getting lost, stream crossing, equipment, clothing and more will be covered. Bring water and a bag lunch.

Kid’s Art Camp: Children 5-10 will have fun creating collages and mixed media art while using a wide range of materials like paint, oil pastels, crayons and more. Bring water and an art shirt/smock.

Squiggle Studios Pottery Fun: Youngsters 6-13 can learn the fun and tactile world of clay. Each student will have the opportunity to create work using the potter’s wheel and other hand-building techniques. In addition, artists will fire and glaze their pieces.

Beginning July 8

Couch to 5K: Join this introduction to running for adults and children ages 8 and up. Begin with intervals (walk and run) working up to running a full 5K (3.1 miles). Other topics covered will include hydration, proper footwear, stride and what to expect at your first race. Bring water and sneakers.

Brain Gym: Explore simple movements that can bring positive changes for all ages and abilities. Brain Gym can help you do your best in academic, professional, personal, corporate, athletic and artistic settings. Bring water and wear comfortable clothing.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga: This all levels breath-powered movement class incorporates elements of Tai Chi, Dance Yoga & Vinyasa Flow Yoga. Experience increased flexibility, clarity of mind and restorative relaxation. Modifications for those with physical limitations. Bring water bottle, yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing.

Tiny Tot Tumbling: Tiny Tot is an intro for youngsters 3-5 to basic mat skills in a structured and fun environment. Stretching, flexibility, strength, control and fun will be emphasized.

Squiggle Studios Sketchbook Explorers: Learn to draw away the summer boredom with a pencil and a sketchbook. This class, for ages 7-13, will focus on observational drawing skills that teach young artists how to draw and observe the world around them.

July 9 & 10 classes

Punk Rope: A mash-up of recess and boot camp on July 9. It improves stamina, strength, agility, coordination, balance, rhythm, and timing. Class blends raise-the-roof music with fitness games, creative calisthenics and rope jumping. You’ll be having so much fun that you won’t even notice how hard you’re working. Bring water, mat or towel.

Welding 101: If you want to learn to weld, this class beginning 10 is for you. Safety, welder operation, fabrication and bending techniques will be introduced in this class. Students need steel-toe shoes and safety glasses.

June 14-16

Tumbling Camp: Starts July 14 for one week for students in grades K-12. Enhance flexibility, strength, balance, coordination and self-confidence while improving tumbling skills. Coach Chris has over 13 years of tumbling teaching experience and makes this camp progressive and fun. Wear workout clothes and bring a bag lunch, snacks and a water bottle.

Sketchbook Explorers: In session 2 beginning July 15, students, ages 7-13, will learn to draw away summer boredom with a pencil and sketchbook. This class will focus on observational drawing skills that teach young artists how to draw and observe the world around them.

Watercolor Paint Party: Enjoy a fun night of painting on July 15 as you receive step-by-step instructions and complete a 5 x 7 painting in one night. Invite friends and family to sign up for the class, too. You’ll be amazed at your creation. No experience is required and all supplies are included with the registration fee.

Youth Field Hockey: Instruction for beginners to more advanced players begins July 16. Campers will learn in a friendly, confidence-building atmosphere. Field hockey skills, drills and games. Bring cleats, shin guards, mouth guards and stick.
