LEWISTON — Yvonne M. Nadeau, 80, died Friday, July 4, at d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston. She was a resident of Oxford Avenue in Rumford.
Born in Rumford on July 6, 1933, she was a daughter of Rosario and Hilda (Paulin) Carrier. She was a graduate of Stephens High School, Class of 1953, and attended Our Lady of The Mountains Academy in Gorham, N.H. She was a communicant of the Parish of the Holy Savior St. Athanasius — St. John Church. She was well known for sending cards to the sick in the area and collecting teddy bears. She was a member of the Rumford Rosary Club.
Yvonne was married in Rumford on Feb. 13, 1954, to Robert M. “Gabby” Nadeau, who died in Rumford on May 31, 2007.
Survivors include four sons, Michael and his wife, Carol, of Rumford, Robert Jr. of California, Richard and Mark of Lewiston; a daughter, Susan Pache and her husband, Mark, of Rumford; grandchildren, Ashley, Jocelyn and Lindsey; a great-grandson, Fletcher; a great-granddaughter, Falynn; and a brother, George Carrier of Rumford.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Ann Carrier, Theresa Betenia and Cecile Begin; and her brothers, Raymond and Robert.
