CHESTERVILLE — The North Chesterville Extension Homemakers have taken on a community project to benefit the Chesterville Town Kitchen.
They have already had bake sales and are now raffling a crazy quilt designed and constructed by Linda Brown. All proceeds are going to the kitchen fund.
They have already purchased replacement dinner plates, bowls and silverware from the bake sales, but there is a much greater need for a new commercial stove and refrigerator.
In order for the NCEH to continue offering their free senior citizen luncheons, town Halloween and Christmas parties and benefit suppers, a new stove is needed. The present oven does not work correctly and one burner does not work at all, while another one either stays on low or high.
Homemakers will be at the Farmington Falls Firemen’s Yard Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, with a table on the side for the raffle of the quilt. Tickets will be $1 each or six for $5. For more information, call 778-3156.
