BETHEL — Police say a masked man with a firearm robbed the Big Apple Store on Railroad Street in Bethel early Saturday morning.
A man in a hooded sweatshirt entered the store at about 4:45 a.m. brandishing a firearm and demanded items from the male clerk, said Lt. Tom Harriman of the Oxford County Sheriff’s Department. The suspect fled out the back door, apparently on foot.
Harriman declined to say what was taken.
He said the suspect was about 6 feet tall and weighed about 200 pounds.
No arrest had been made and the investigation was ongoing, Harriman said.
The store clerk was not injured, he said.
