NEW SHARON — A local motorcyclist was injured Friday afternoon when he tried to pass a vehicle, went off Starks Road/Route 134 and crashed in a field, Franklin County Deputy Nicholas Zecher said.
Robin Flagg, 41, of was traveling north when the accident occurred, according to Zecher’s report to Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr.
Flagg was taken by NorthStar EMS ambulance personnel to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington with minor injuries, Zecher said. He was not wearing his helmet.
“Speed played a factor but alcohol did not in the crash,” Zecher said.
He was assisted at the scene of the 2:31 p.m. accident by New Sharon Fire Department and NorthStar.
The 2005 Suzuki motorcycle was demolished.
