Storytelling, craft hour on July 22
MEXICO — As part of the “Terrific Tuesdays” summer programs for kids, the Mexico Public Library will host a “Lovely Librarians” Storytelling & Craft Hour at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 22.
Brenda Sassi and Michelle Boucher-Ladd will be the presenters for this fun program, and will share both stories and crafts. Sassi has been a librarian for many years, most recently at Holy Savior School, and Ladd is currently a teacher at Holy Savior School, but also a former librarian.
Kids of any age are invited, although the focus group is for kids ages 2-12. For more information, contact the library at 364-3281.
Library program on birds of prey
RUMFORD — Rumford Public Library will present Chewonki’s Natural Traveling History program, “Birds of Prey,” at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 23.
Children will see three live, non-releasable predators of the sky up close. They will be given the opportunity to handle and examine feet, wings and skull specimens to better understand these majestic birds. This is a free program.
