NORWAY — Children ages 7 through 11 will have the opportunity to explore and learn about the natural world mornings from 9 a.m. to noon at “Earth Kids” nature camp Aug. 4-8. “Earth Kids” nature camp is hosted by the First Universalist Church of Norway, 479 Main St.

“We’ll have great fun exploring Norway’s natural wonders through hands-on activities and games. From the old growth forest of Ordway Grove to the local foods grown in the Community Garden, Norway provides an idyllic setting to cultivate an appreciation and love of nature,” said Joan Beal, camp organizer.

The camp will be staffed by volunteer naturalists, farmers, teachers, a museum educator, a state park ranger and other nature enthusiasts. Activities will include: Plant to Table: All about Herbs; Map and Compass and Your Place in the World; Nature Scavenger Hunt in Ordway Grove; Exploring Roberts Farm; Nature Crafts and Games; Community Garden; and more.

The registration fee is $25. Scholarships are available. For more information, contact Nancy Lee Piper at The First Universalist Church of Norway at 207-743-2828 or at www.norwayuu.org.
