WILTON — Police said a Vienna man took a check for $606 from a friend’s Wilton post office box and cashed it.
Tristan Ridlon, 29, was arrested on a charge of felony theft Thursday by Wilton police Lt. Chad Abbott.
The victim apparently gave Ridlon a key to the box, police Chief Heidi Wilcox said Friday. The charge was bumped up to a felony because Ridlon has two prior convictions.
The victim was waiting for check so she could pay her rent, she said.
Ridlon was arrested Thursday and taken to Franklin County Detention Center.
