WILTON — Police are investigating vandalism in the High Street area, including tires being slashed and crayfish dumped in a swimming pool.

For three nights, police received four reports of slashed tires on vehicles, police Chief Heidi Wilcox said.

A High Street resident awoke Tuesday morning to find two tires slashed on her vehicle, which was parked in her driveway. It appears the damage was done by a knife, Wilton officer Courtney Krause said.

Since then, three more incidents have been reported, Wilcox said.

Crayfish were put in one resident’s swimming pool. They were fished out and no damage was done, she said.
