DEAR SUN SPOTS: On the weekend of July 25 we sold a treadmill at our garage sale. We couldn’t put our hands on the instruction manual until now.

We hope the lady who bought it for her husband reads this and calls us to make arrangements to pick it up or we’ll deliver. — D. Welch, Lewiston, 782-5980

DEAR SUN SPOTS: We are trying to get in touch with a gentleman who bought a table saw at 636 Federal Road in Livermore last week. We have a manual and other parts that go with the saw and would like him to have them. We are hoping he will see this and come back to pick up those items.

Also, I have lost the name and phone number of the lady who makes teddy bears from fur coats. I believe she lives in the Lewiston area. I would like to get in touch with her.

One last request: My husband lost his toolbox from the back of his truck about two weeks ago. This would have been in the area of Woodman Hill Road and the Old Jay Hill Road in Jay. If anyone came across them or picked them up, we would appreciate hearing from them.

Thank you in advance for all your help. — Linda Brundage, Livermore, 207-931-6482, rlbrundage@roadrunner.com

ANSWER: Sun Spots has two teddy bear makers in her Rolodex:

* Angie Rogers, P.O. Box 185, Gray, ME 04039, 207-428-4415

* Paulette Anctil, Lewiston, auntiepta@yahoo.com, 207-784-6728

Sun Spots left out your request about the items for sale. Readers cannot sell through the column. Your best bet is probably eBay, which unbelievably enough has a much wider audience than Sun Spots.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: A short time ago you had someone asking for Nordic skis, which would be used with people who could not afford the purchase or with schoolchildren.

I have two complete sets that I would like to donate to an organization that will use them. Please provide the necessary contact information. Thanks again. — No Name, Lewiston

ANSWER: Here is the information from that May 3 letter:

“The Lewiston Auburn Bill Koch Cross Country Ski Program just finished its fifth year of offering cross country ski instruction to area children. We could use any cross country ski equipment in decent shape. We will also share appropriate donated equipment with the reinvigorated Auburn Middle School Nordic Ski Team. So any skis, boots and/or poles would be greatly appreciated. Our Facebook page is Lewiston Auburn Bill Koch Ski Club; our website is www.auburnskiassociation.com/LABillKoch/Intro.html. Please email wbcondit@gmail.com with donations or any questions.”

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Regarding the request printed in the July 22 column asking if anyone picks up leftover lawn sale and other items for free, taking those items as payment, our new company, Heritage Collectibles, can do exactly that.

Items picked up will be sorted and used, sold or disposed of in the most suitable fashion, which may include donating the items to local nonprofits if we can find no other use for them. (This would be particularly true for toys, paperbacks and non-vintage clothing.)

We do ask that the items NOT be boxed in advance and that they be clean and dry. We may be able to do some clean-outs as well.

I can be reached at lsnyder@regroupbiz.com or 207-740-2247. My husband’s contact info is John Snyder, jsnyder@regroupbiz.com, cell 207-713-0674.
