WINDHAM — The Department of Corrections confirmed Thursday the death of a prisoner at the Maine Correctional Center.
Charles Edmond Fulcher of York County, 65, had served approximately 2 years of a 3-year, 182-day sentence for Operating Under the Influence.
The prisoner’s death occurred approximately Wednesday, Aug. 6, at 4 a.m. He was on the Supervised Community Confinement Program at the time of his death.
Consistent with the Department policy and the Attorney General’s Office protocols, the State Police, the State Attorney General, and the State Medical Examiner were notified and are reviewing the death.
