1965 – 2014
LITCHFIELD — Glen Richard Danforth, 49, a resident of Litchfield, entered eternal life on Tuesday, Aug. 5, at his home that he had built, and inwhich he raised his family and later on had taken care of his mother before her passing in 2013.
He was born Jan. 22, 1965, in Lewiston, the son of Elaine (Waterhouse) Danforth Shaw and Richard Edward Danforth.
He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1984. He went to work for Maine Radiator right out of high school, working for several years, before going to work as a millwright. He later became a member of Carpenter Local Union 1996. On April 29, 1995, he married Chyrle (Messer) Bean. They were married for eight years and had two children, Katelyn Elaine Danforth and Johnathan James Danforth.
Glen had a true appreciation of the outdoors. It was the simple things in life that he never took for granted. He was a man of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ’s love and the beauty and peace that would await him in his passing. His spirit will be carried on by his daughter Katelyn and his sister, Sandra.
He is survived by his daughter, Katelyn Danforth and her companion, Nickolas Campbell, of Litchfield; his son, Johnathan Danforth of Freeport; his sister, Sandra Danforth Fish of Durham; his nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Chyrle Danforth of Litchfield.
He was predeceased by his parents.
