It’s the end of the world, and hordes of rampaging zombies are about to get you. What do you do? Try your hand at kung fu against the undead? Attempt to reason with creatures that would rather eat brains than use them? Fortunately, there is this handy and hilarious guide to surviving the zombie apocalypse and sacrifice the weak is step number one.

Directed by Theater Project alum and St. Lawrence University graduate Sean McGuire, these 16 junior high school actors met for the first time in early August and began the creative process with theater games and improv exercises designed to help them get comfortable on stage, build characters, and understand scene work. Slowly, but with lots of fun along the way, they have created an hour long production that features quick thinking, chases, escapes, and possibly helpful tips, not to mention plenty of zombies.

The production will be onstage Friday, Aug. 15 and Saturday, Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 17 at 2 p.m. All tickets are Pay-What-You-Want, with a suggested price of $6, and are available at www.theaterproject.com, or by calling 207-729-8584. The Theater Project is at 14 School Street.
