AUBURN — The Route 4 resurfacing and striping project will begin Monday.
The work will begin approximately 675 feet south of Lake Shore Drive and extend a half-mile north, just beyond Blanchard Drive, according to a news release from the city of Auburn. The project contractor is Pratt & Sons.
The work, which is expected to be completed by Oct. 3, involves the placement of hot mix asphalt shim, shoulder rehabilitation, HMA base pavement, resurfacing and a new traffic pattern utilizing a two-way center turning lane, according to the city.
Motorists are advised to expect construction vehicles, single-lane closures and reduced speeds and should proceed with caution.
