WATERTOWN, Mass. — Norma (Merson) Bloom, beloved wife of Aaron Bloom, generous aunt and beloved cousin, died at her Watertown, Mass., home on Wednesday, Aug. 13.
Born and raised in Lewiston, Norma spent most of her adult life in the greater-Boston area.
She was a member of Belmont’s Beth El congregation, enjoyed working at McLean Hospital, served as a longtime volunteer at Mount Auburn Hospital and was an avid shopper. Norma was voted best-dressed in her Lewiston High School Class of 1955. She moved to New York City for a few years and relocated to Boston, before meeting and marrying her husband of 42 years. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Boston University.
Norma enjoyed “talks and walks” at Tanglewood in the Berkshires, ushering at the New Rep Theater in Watertown, Mass., and travels with Aaron. She recently noted, “There isn’t much about life I don’t like.” She will be greatly missed.
