Senior groups to join for picnic

AUBURN — The First Auburn Senior Citizens and New Auburn Senior Citizens will meet for their Tot Lot picnic at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at the Hasty Community Center.

Bring cups and utensils for the barbecue. Bingo will be played after lunch. President Sue Patneaude will conduct the meeting.

Thirty-seven members attended the last meeting.

Attendance winners were Sue Patneaude, Marilyn Redmon; pot of gold, Caroline Chapman, Rita Gagnon, Joyce Poole; 50-50, Virginia Houston, Cindy Larrabee.

The seniors will have a fall fair and flea market on Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Hasty Community Center. Tables are available to rent for $10 each.

Yard sale, annual pig roast in New Auburn

AUBURN — Rolly’s Diner and the United New Auburn Association will hold a yard sale and annual pig roast Saturday, Aug. 23, in the Rolly’s Diner and the New Auburn Social Club parking lots.

The yard sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tables are available for $10 each.

The pig roast will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Cost is $7 a person. The menu includes potato salad, corn on the cob and dessert.

Proceeds from the yard sale will go toward the refurbishing of the Marshall’s Popcorn Truck.
