1914 – 2014
LISBON — Mary Stella Carville of Lisbon passed away on Thursday, Aug. 14, after a brief illness.
She was born on Jan. 7, 1914, in Fall River, Mass. She lived in Lisbon for 88 years, where she raised six children, established Carville Ceramics and worked on the family farm. The town of Lisbon honored her with the Boston Post Cane in 2013.
She leaves five children, Nancy Murtie of Stuart, Fla., and Falmouth, Connie Wilson of New Burn, N.C., and James, Marion Bussiere and Linda King of Lisbon; 12 grandchildren, Pegeen Soutar of Isla Vista, Calif., Cathleen Wilhoit of Noble, Okla., Christine Hepler of Churubusco, Ind., Mark Wilson of Edwardsville, Ill., Jason Carville of Homestead, Fla., Jessica Walton of Glenburn, Chad King of Reistertown, Md., Robert Bussier, Timothy and Thomas Carville of Lisbon Falls, Amy King and Jennifer Levesque of Lisbon; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lester Earl; son, Chester; parents, Albert and Rose Rosen; brother, Leo; and sister, Eleanor Gelzinis.
